A Los Angeles-based filmmaker, writer, director, and producer of highly relevant and entertaining film and digital media content for the global audience.
Most recently, Marco produced the theatrically released feature crime-drama Water & Power, a product of the Sundance Feature Film Labs and executive produced by Edward James Olmos. The film achieved a limited theatrical release through AMC Independent and digital distribution on Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Hulu, and Vudu via Sundance Artists Services in 2015.
Previous to Water & Power, Marco wrote, directed, and produced Xtraction, a female-centric action-thriller short film that screened in a variety of festivals, including the HBO Latino Film Festival in NYC and the Palm Springs Short Fest.
A U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a crew chief on C-5, C-141, and KC-135 aircraft, Marco was an invited mentee of the 2025 Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Writing Project, a yearlong mentorship for emerging writers with military backgrounds. There he developed his latest feature in development, Last Tank to Freedom, under the mentorship of Paul Redford (The West Wing, Designated Survivor, Madam Secretary, Suits, The Newsroom) and Allen Sowell (S.W.A.T., New Amsterdam). In 2026, he returned as a volunteer alongside mentors including Ashley E. Miller (Thor, X-Men: First Class, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).
Marco's storytelling is grounded in a parallel, two-decade career in media and technology. He serves as a software and IT project manager at the Writers Guild of America West, and is the founder of Stackwright, a governance-first applied-AI company that generates production-ready, fully documented software while keeping human judgment firmly in the loop. He holds the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) and Google Project Management certifications, and has completed Stanford University's Machine Learning Specialization and Duke University's AI Product Management Specialization, building on an applied-mathematics and engineering foundation from Arizona State University. That fluency with AI, machine learning, and complex systems lends uncommon authenticity to his tech-forward, speculative work, from the quantum cyber-noir of Zona Norte to the AI-haunted dystopia of Last Tank to Freedom.
Those two worlds converge most directly in STEMMA, a production-intelligence platform technology-adjacent to Stackwright. STEMMA turns a screenplay into a complete production capsule through an AI-driven Creative Synthesis Engine, built on a principle of creator sovereignty: user-owned data, transparent governance, and blockchain-secured provenance. It is technology made by and for the people who actually make films.
A multi-fellow of the NALIP Writers Lab and Producers Academy, Marco is a graduate of the UCLA Graduate Professional Writers and Producers Program. He studied Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, History, and Aeronautical Management at Arizona State University, where he earned his pilots license and accumulated over 500 hours of flight time. He recently completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business's Launching a Startup program.
