Synopsis

Twin brothers nicknamed "Water" and "Power," from the hardscrabble Eastside streets of Los Angeles, rise like princes through the city's political and police ranks to become players in a complex and dangerous web of the powerful and the corrupt. One a decorated cop, the other a senator. They find themselves in a seedy motel room on the eastern edge of Sunset Boulevard on a dark and rainy night. Something has gone very wrong. Can Power exist without Water? The fixers and powers of the city need answers. Everybody is looking for the Twins.

About the Production

Written and directed by Richard Montoya of the legendary Chicano performance troupe Culture Clash, Water & Power was adapted from Montoya's acclaimed, award-winning stage play developed at Center Theatre Group. The screenplay was honed through the Sundance Institute. Backed and executive produced by Edward James Olmos, the film achieved a limited theatrical release through AMC Independent and digital distribution on Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Hulu, and Vudu via Sundance Artists Services in 2015.
